34 Week Survey

34 Weeks

Total weight gained: I'm really starting to not like this game. But I'll be honest with yall, 19 pounds. I'm on track for the ~25# I expected for normal weight gain but dang(!) it's crazy to see those numbers. In my head I'm like, ok the baby weighs 5 pounds, a couple is fluid, placenta...etc, ha. Dr. D went to my appointment with me this morning and finally got to meet our awesome doctor.
Maternity clothes: No new clothes, just letting the belly fill out the clothes I have....my shirts are getting shorter by the minute! But those days of wearing my regular jeans with the top button undone? Long gone.
Best moment of the week(s): Getting to see my Momma and my dear Meg this weekend was beyond awesome, I miss them so much! Do you see that cake my mom brought?! It was strawberry and amaaaazing. It's hard to tell by the pic but it had pretty hot pink hydrangea-looking flowers with a bright coral trim around the bottom.
Sleep: Eh, it's ok but not great. I wake up a couple of times in the middle of the night and am chronically exhausted. Which I know will get much worse. I will lay in bed around 4am and think about things like doing laundry and sanitizing things. I think this, my friends, is nesting.
Food cravings: I love clementines and pineapple.
Food aversions: I'm pretty much ok with most foods now but still not the biggest meat eater.
Gender: Sugar and spice and everything nice!
What I miss: Having energy! And I can't wait til I can't super-sonically smell everything with in a 5 mile radius.
What I'm looking forward to: The 36 week ultrasound!!
Weekly wisdom: Don't sweat the small stuff. Like when a well-meaning co-worker says, "Wow, you've really blown up!" Um, ok, let's think things through before we say it out loud. She was referring to my belly but still, words like that are never really what anyone wants to hear.
