First, a lot of joggers out there are enormous. And while we at the 2 Dog house go on a lot of walks, we really are not runners (ok, Sophie is a runner but she doesn't count). So we decided we didn't need an all-terrain jogger with giant wheels that don't pivot. B.O.B., I'm talking to you. While I'm sure it's a great stroller for runners, it was just too heavy and big for us. So that narrowed it down to "city" jogging strollers, ie good for sidewalks and bumps and can be taken on grass. We figure for hiking D will wear the babe (*tear, I cannot wait for those moments. Daddy D+baby girl=weepy K).
Other things on the list:
- Safe/good reviews
- Not bulky
- Pivoting front wheels
- Safe for newborn use. A lot of strollers out there are made for babies 3 months+. The newborn strollers can lay completely flat
- Preferably one that a car seat can hook into
- Lightweight
- Easy to fold
It has a huge canopy umbrella with two see-thru cutouts (that can have velcro covers) to see the baby. It is very hot and sunny in Texas, so that big umbrella will be nice. It weighs only 17 pounds, folds with one hand, has a car seat attachment for a variety of brands so it can be used from birth and beyond. The front wheels pivot amazingly well and can be maneuvered with one hand (I also like that the handle is a solid single bar). Plus, it's a good height for taller parents and has a big basket in the back for storage. As an added perk, it's pretty reasonably priced compared to a lot of strollers out there.
And here's me using it:
Oh wait, that's Miranda Kerr :/

Love it ~ so glad you went w/black ~ it will be so sweet to see Dr. D toting babygirl wearing her, & his Cheshire-cat grin <3 I had to do a double take ~ so could be you pushing the stroller, but the baby-on-board gave it away first ~ I was looking for Soph <3
